was looking at all my old photos again. some points i laughed out loud, some points i wished i was back at the moment. and when i reached my china photos, i started breaking down and cry. i miss my family SO BADLY especially my grandma. 

the colors of this reminds me of dawn. i'll miss you! work hard when you're back in school and happy happy dance dance with darren! xxooxoxoxo STAY HEALTHY! :)

there are a lot of things missing in my photos. when i say things, i am talking about the intangible stuffs (i emphasize that there're nothing wrong with my subjects) that makes people want to have a second look, and look again three days later, a week later, a month later, and a few years down the road. and those things that move people, set them off to daydream. what inspires my people now is my camera, not me. my finger is sore from the weight of my camera.

 

as usual, my chinese new year celebration never go beyond the eve. since i have so much time on hand i decided to challenge myself to make some interesting pictures out of the boring house. so i walked around, and found a dried lizard in my old fish tank and never moved on. i guess taking pictures of dead reptiles isnt a very celebrated way to spend time as well. 

i helped make dumplings this year!

i wish i could sit by the beach again and study the tides for an entire day. school started, has it.

When we were kids back in 1998, block catching after school was the best time of our lives. Now we don't even climb the slides nor play with the sand. What a pity.

last night's reunion dinner at fur's penthouse.



we spent at least an hour playing with the shutter speeds after food. hau kim was giving me great tips and everyone was simply cooperative. i really liked how the camera performs under low light condition. simply amazing.







these aint exactly there yet because we couldnt really get the right combination of exposure and shutters but i would say they're decent enough for a first try.

today at colbar cafe. 

the cute owner of the place you see above was very against visitors, not just us, taking pictures of customers (we understand why so we didnt really) and of her. nearly got into a bit of trouble there but i obviously am kind of rebellious.  





we both think that the food was pricy and not that fantastic but i personally am alright about paying the owners for keeping the place old school.

from the looks of it, i'm becoming a morning person.

up till now, i havent taken a picture i'm satisfied with. most are make-dos. that's quite depressing. 

i supposed if i told you i was out of the country today, you'd believe. you see i have a lot of new photos flashing at the sidebar; if you're the impatient sort, you could see them at my flickr at one go. or if you like surprises, follow up.

now my old camera's like an fanciful toy to everyone. that's nice. it's a really good camera by the way; i'm glad it's still useful in its own ways.

now i could afford to post random pictures like this.

i got myself a flickr pro and that, solved all my bandwidth problems. :)

bah. it's barely middle month and i've already exceeded my flickr bandwidth again! anyway, presenting to you the floating chocolate. p.s. i might not have executed this very well. 

something more conceptual: i have an egg every breakfast and each one of them dies differently.

we had a cook-in and sleepover yesterday. florence was jokingly grumbling about how much cooking they have each done and how many garlics they have chopped and i did nothing. it was good news actually, that i didnt do the cooking. that actually makes the food more edible.



they think their cooking pictures are nothing but unglam. ok, so no serious cooking-future housewifey pictures, but them in ntuc plastic helmets.

when we thought it's gonna be a slow 9 shoots like neoprints', the shutters started going 4.5fps. that's me with my genuine shock. 

the girls warned me about posting the rest of the "unglam" photos, especially chen jiexin who wants to get a boyfriend.  so that's all folks!
